Full Coverage Hijab Styling Guide
Over the Chest
- Ensure your bandana is securely in place
- Drape the hijab across your head and divide the length on each side with a ratio of 80:20 - make sure your bandana is showing at the front to achieve more coverage
- Frame the hijab around your face
- Secure the hijab under your chin using a magnet
- Wrap the longer side around your head
- Pin at the side of the head using a straight pin
- Pull the hijab over your chest until you achieve your desired coverage
- Bring the remaining fabric that is draping behind your shoulders to the front for added coverage
Side Drape
- Drape the hijab across your head and divide the length on each side with a ratio of 80:20
- Frame the hijab around your face
- Pin the end of the shorter side to the back of your undercap
- Take the inner part of the longer side and wrap around your head
- Pin at the side of your head using a straight pin
- Pull the hijab over the chest until you achieve your desired coverage
- PRO TIP - Pin the top of your head too, to keep the hijab in place in windy conditions
Over the Shoulders
- Drape the hijab across your head and divide the length on each side with a ratio of 50:50
- Frame the hijab around your face
- Secure the hijab under your chin using a magnet
- Drape the left side of the hijab over the right shoulder - make sure that majority of the fabric is draped across your chest and not pulled all the way behind your shoulder
- Pin the hijab to the shoulders using a straight pin
- Drape the right side of the hijab over the left shoulder
- Pin the hijab to the shoulders using a straight pin
- Adjust the fabric around your chest until you achieve your desired coverage
